Accessibility Policy

Last Updated: March 18, 2026

Foundation’s Commitment to Accessibility

At The Rogers and Waterhouse Foundation, Inc. ("Foundation"), we are committed to making our website and digital communications accessible and inclusive for all users, including individuals with disabilities. We strive to provide equal access to information, programs, and services through our website and are continually working to improve the accessibility and usability of our digital content.

Accessibility is an ongoing priority and part of our broader commitment to disability inclusion. We regularly review our website and digital tools to identify opportunities for improvement and to enhance the user experience for all visitors.

Accessibility Standards

Our website is designed and developed with reference to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Version 2.1 Level AA, which are widely recognized international standards for digital accessibility.

While we aim for substantial conformance with WCAG 2.1 AA, some portions of our website may not yet fully meet these standards. We are actively working to address known issues and improve accessibility over time.

Navigating Our Website

We incorporate a range of accessibility features to support users with diverse needs, including:
  • The ability to adjust text size using browser settings
  • Color contrast ratios designed to support users with low vision and color vision deficiencies
  • "Skip navigation" links for keyboard and screen-reader navigation
  • Text alternatives for many visual and multimedia elements
  • Keyboard navigation functionality for most core website features

We continue to evaluate and enhance these features as part of our ongoing accessibility efforts.

Video and Multimedia Content

  • Videos produced by the Foundation since 2020 include captions and downloadable transcripts.
  • Where visual content requires additional context, audio-described versions are provided when feasible.
  • We are working to improve the accessibility of videos produced prior to 2020.
  • Videos or multimedia content created and hosted by third parties may not always include captions, transcripts, or audio descriptions.

Areas for Improvement

Accessibility is not a single, static goal. As with many organizations whose websites have evolved over time, some areas of our website may not yet fully meet accessibility standards.

Known areas that may present accessibility challenges include:
  • Certain reports or downloadable PDF documents that are not fully optimized for screen readers
  • Older videos that may lack captions, transcripts, or audio descriptions
  • Archived articles that may not include alternative text for images
  • Portions of our grants database that may not render optimal reading order or keyboard navigation for assistive technology users

We are prioritizing updates and remediation efforts based on impact, feasibility, and available resources.

Third-Party Content

Our website may include links to external websites or embedded third-party tools or content. These third parties operate independently and may not maintain the same accessibility standards. While we encourage accessibility among our partners and service providers, we cannot guarantee the accessibility of third-party content.

Ongoing Monitoring and Improvements

We are committed to continually improving accessibility through:
  • periodic reviews of website content and functionality
  • consideration of accessibility in the design and development of new features and pages
  • collaboration with vendors and service providers to promote accessible solutions
  • prioritization of accessibility enhancements as part of our website maintenance and updates

Accessibility Assistance and Alternative Access

If you encounter accessibility barriers on our website or need assistance accessing information, completing forms, or participating in Foundation programs, we encourage you to contact us. We will make reasonable efforts to provide information in alternative formats or to offer other appropriate assistance.

We Welcome Your Feedback

We welcome feedback regarding the accessibility and usability of our website. If you experience difficulty accessing content or have suggestions for improvement, please contact us:
