Privacy Policy

The Rogers and Waterhouse Foundation, Inc. (the “Foundation,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects information from and about you through rogerswaterhouse.org (the “Site”); through email and other communications with you; through your submission of information in connection with grant applications, grants, and other Foundation programs (collectively, the “Programs”); and through other interactions with the Foundation (collectively, the “Activities”).

The Foundation is committed to protecting the privacy of individuals who visit the Site or otherwise interact with us. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how the Foundation collects, uses, shares, and protects Personal Data (defined below) obtained through the Activities.

Please read this Policy carefully.

Applicability

This Policy applies to Personal Data collected through the Activities described above. This Policy does not apply to third-party websites or online services that may be linked from the Site. Those third parties operate independently and have their own privacy practices, which you should review separately.

This Policy also does not apply to information collected from job applicants or employees of the Foundation.

If you provide Personal Data about another person, you represent that you have the authority to do so and that the individual has consented to the disclosure of such information.

The Foundation may update this Policy from time to time. Any updated version will be posted on the Site and will become effective when posted. You should review this Policy periodically for changes.

We collect information that you voluntarily provide to us, such as when you submit a grant application, contact us through the Site, communicate with us by email, subscribe to newsletters, or otherwise interact with the Foundation.

Information collected automatically.

We collect certain information automatically when you visit or interact with the Site, including through cookies or similar technologies.

Information obtained from third parties.

We may receive information about visitors to the Site from analytics providers or other service providers that help us operate and improve the Site.

We may combine information obtained from different sources and use it as described in this Policy.

The types of information we may collect include:
  • Contact information, such as name, email address, mailing address, and telephone number.
  • Professional or employment information, such as organization name and job title.
  • Grant-related information, including information submitted in connection with grant applications, grant administration, and reporting.

  • Internet or network activity information, such as pages visited on the Site and the duration of browsing sessions.

  • Inferences drawn from the information above regarding preferences or interests relating to Foundation programs.

How Do We Use Your Personal Data?

The Foundation may use Personal Data for the following purposes:

This includes receiving and reviewing grant applications, communicating with applicants and grantees, administering grants, and conducting related program activities.

To operate and improve the Site.

We may use information to maintain and improve the functionality, security, and performance of the Site.

To communicate with you.

We may respond to inquiries, provide requested information, send newsletters, or communicate about Foundation activities.

For internal purposes.

We may analyze how the Site and Programs are used in order to improve Foundation services and initiatives.

For legal and security purposes.

We may use information to comply with applicable law, enforce our agreements, detect and prevent fraud or security incidents, and protect the rights and safety of the Foundation and others.

Aggregated or de-identified information.

We may use and publish aggregated or de-identified information for research, reporting, or program evaluation purposes.

Grant Application Information

Information submitted to the Foundation as part of a grant application may be reviewed by Foundation staff and by external advisors, consultants, or subject-matter experts assisting the Foundation in evaluating grant proposals or administering grant programs.

Applicants should avoid submitting confidential or proprietary information unless necessary for the grant application and the applicant has the legal right to disclose such information. While the Foundation takes reasonable steps to protect application materials, the Foundation cannot guarantee that information submitted through the Site or grant application process will remain confidential.

By submitting information in connection with a grant application or program, you acknowledge that such information may be shared with individuals involved in the review and administration of Foundation programs.

The Foundation does not independently verify the accuracy of information submitted through grant applications and assumes that applicants have the legal right to provide such information.

With Whom Do We Share Your Information?

The Foundation does not sell Personal Data and does not share Personal Data for targeted advertising.

We may share Personal Data in the following circumstances:

Service providers.

We may share information with service providers that assist the Foundation with website hosting, data management, analytics, communications, or other operational services. These providers are contractually required to protect the confidentiality of Personal Data and use it only for authorized purposes.

Grant program partners.

If the Foundation participates in collaborative grant programs with other organizations, relevant information may be shared with those organizations for purposes of administering such programs.

Legal and security purposes.

We may disclose Personal Data when required by law, legal process, or government request, or when necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of the Foundation or others.

We may also share aggregated or de-identified information that does not identify individuals.

The Site may use cookies, web beacons, pixels, session replay tools, analytics technologies, and similar tracking technologies (collectively, “Cookies”) to collect technical and usage information about how visitors interact with the Site.

If the Foundation becomes aware of a data security incident affecting Personal Data maintained by the Foundation, the Foundation will investigate the incident and provide notification to affected individuals and authorities as required by applicable law.

Children’s Privacy

The Site and Foundation Programs are intended for individuals 18 years of age or older. The Foundation does not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under 18. If we become aware that such information has been collected, we will take steps to delete it.

External Links

The Site may contain links to external websites or services not operated by the Foundation. The Foundation is not responsible for the privacy practices or data collection policies of those third parties.

Your Choices and Requests

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of Personal Data maintained by the Foundation, subject to applicable legal limitations.
