The Rogers and Waterhouse Foundation is led by a volunteer Board of Directors with diverse professional backgrounds and a shared commitment to animal advocacy, integrity, and thoughtful stewardship.
Shirley Waterhouse has spent a lifetime advocating for animals alongside her husband, the late Rodney O. Rogers. Also, upon her retirement from her academic career, she earned a certification in equine-assisted learning, efforts Rod supported wholeheartedly. During their 36-year marriage, they traveled extensively around the world, often stepping in to help animals and people in need wherever they encountered them. This shared commitment to animal welfare continues to guide Shirley’s role as founder and president of the Rogers and Waterhouse Foundation.
Shirley’s extensive career in university-level teaching, administration, authoring, and international consulting demonstrates her unique set of skills that enhance her leadership of the Foundation.
