All applications should clearly outline the proposed project, the amount of funding requested, the project timeline, and how the requested funds will be allocated.
If the request is for a program that partners humans and animals, applicants must describe the structure of the program, how it will be delivered and evaluated, the team and partnerships involved, and how the model may be replicated.
Responses should be concise while providing enough detail for reviewers to fully understand the proposal.
All applicants must provide proof of 501(c)(3) status and must provide their most recent IRS tax return. These items can be uploaded or mailed in.
Depending on the type of funding requested, additional documentation may be required such as proof of relevant staff certifications.
If the proposal involves therapeutic services, proof of licensing for all therapists involved is required, and proof of licensing can be uploaded or mailed to us.
Each proposal is carefully reviewed by the Foundation's Board of Directors to ensure alignment with funding priorities and a clear, realistic plan for implementation.
Applications are evaluated for alignment, feasibility, responsible budgeting, defined goals, and overall impact.
In most cases, feedback will be provided within three weeks of submission. If additional clarification is needed during the review process, the Foundation will contact the applicant directly.
